GMP Friction Products Reinvents Their Branding Within the Friction Material Market
AKRON (November 7, 2008) — GMP Friction Products was featured in the November article of Smart Business for it’s rebranding efforts resulting in a new positioning in the friction materials market.
President Jerry Lynch revealed in the “Fast Lane” column how he was able to reinvent the 80 year old business.
The company name was changed from GEMPCO (also known as General Metal Power Products) to GMP Friction Products to better describe their services. A new logo and corporate identity was created to reposition the firm as one of the leading friction material manufacturer and suppliers. The company then launched a full marketing campaign to improve awareness of the company and its services among its customers and potential customers.
