HUDSON, OHIO  (July 22, 2014) – In Sync, the synchronized swimming team, will present “A Splash of Colour” on Saturday, August 2, 2014, 7 p.m., at LifeCenter Plus, 5133 Darrow Rd., Hudson. The event is free and open to the public.

The choreographed In Sync show features floating kick lines, geometric patterns, and flowerlike formations, researched and engineered by Coach Kathleen Richards. Costume Designer Lisa Petrosky developed colorful aquatic wardrobes and recruited the team to help with the finishing touches.

“Our In Sync team has pulled together to create a captivating program,” said Jerry Lynch, co-owner of LifeCenter Plus. “We hope that everyone will come to experience the beautiful and amazing swim routines. Many hours of practice and preparation has gone into this creative production.”

During this season’s performance, the Synchro Mermaids team of girls, ages 7 to 14 years old, will make their debut to perform to “Sunshine Lollipop” and will also join the In Sync women for their final number.

In 2011, the In Sync synchronized swimming team at LifeCenter was featured in Oprah’s O magazine and this year celebrates their seventh anniversary. The group was inspired by Esther Williams, a swimming movie star from the 1940’s and 50’s, known as the Million Dollar Mermaid, who enchanted the world with her aquatic grace.

The group’s mission is to promote the spirit, health, and well-being of women through synchronized swimming and this is achieved through their passion and pursuit of “water ballet.” Today synchronized swimming has taken on a new energy as a competitive Olympic sport.

“It’s a Wonderful World” and “Walking on Sunshine” are just two of the musical selections being performed. Rain date is set for Sunday, August 3, 2014. For additional information, call 330-655-2377 or visit the website at www.lifecenterplus.com.
